Living Room Wall Decor

Aren't these wrought iron ball dealie bobs neat? My friend, GaeLyn, has one of these set ups in her house, except she also has pictures hanging from hers. I was so inspired when I saw it in her house, it was love at first sight.

Well, I've had this blank wall in my living room for about three years, yes I said years, and I just couldn't commit to anything before now. Part of the problem was that I was waiting for furniture, but I've had the furniture now for six months, so I can't entirely blame it on that.

I'll admit that I'm a little picky too. I won't be forced into making home decor decisions on any sort of time table. I prefer to start a room and finish it over the course of a year or so. Yeah, or so. It's the whole decision making process that I find mentally exhausting. What if I put something up and I don't like it? Then I have holes to fill. Just one more thing on my To Do List. I hate that.

So I got the ball dealie-bobs, then Peanut Head and I found this mirror at Lowe's that I think goes perfectly will the ballie bobs. I should mention that this is the second mirror I brought into our house. When Peanut Head put the first one up, it looked like a Barbie doll mirror, it was so petite. We (the married we) put anchors in the wall for that mirror! Eek. Luckily we were able to use the same hardware to hang up the new mirror.

I think I'm satisfied now.

  3. I love it... but it looks like the center one isnt centered and no matter what angle I look at the picture, it still looks that way. Can you straighten it, take more photos, post them and let me know???? Cause it is going to bug me until you do...... *grin*

Seriously, I love it. Where did you get the rod thingy the ball thingies are hanging from? It mimics my curtain rods and I want it. Want want want.

Can you tell me why I am always stimulating the economy but it never returns the favor??? It is like a bad love affair.

  8. Yes, do tell where you got those balls and rod, so we can all copy you. This is perfect for a wall in my living room that has been bare for almost 5 years. I don't always know what I want, but when I see it, I know. LOL Those are just what I want! Thanks for sharing. BTW - I just found your blog and really enjoy it!

  13. Okay Ladies, I think I've opened a can of worms here. I've scoured the internet and cannot find the wrought iron balls and rods. I found them at a little store in my town called Rod & Vinyl. They sell wrought iron decor and vinyl wall art. Unless you want to drive to Idaho, your best bed would probably be a boutique type home decor store in your area. Good luck and let us know if you find them somewhere else.
