Feta Burgers

Finally, grilling season is here. I only make these Feta Burgers in the summer when they can be grilled on a proper grill. I'm not 100% convinced that summer has arrived in Idaho, but the grass is green so that's good enough for me to pull out the grill.

Well, Peanut Head can do it. He loves to cook for me.

I think.

He loves to eat. I can say that with confidence.

I originally got this recipe out of the July 2007 issue of Bon Appetit. Bon Appetit tends to have a lot of hoity toity recipes with obscure ingredients, but occasionally I find a really good one that ends up being a keeper. In fact, some of my best recipes came from Bon Appetit.

Now the Gunny Monster has a special spot in his heart for Feta Burgers, since we made him a burger of his very own.

Here's the recipe card if you want to give them a try. Happy grilling!

  1. YUM! I'm finally grilling tonight as well -- salmon for the main course and then I'm going to try figs with honey and goat cheese for dessert...

  3. Those look delicious!! We have been grilling away because it is HOT here. Our temps. have been in the high 90's with the heat indexes so far up to 107 degrees. Way too hot for June!! I'm scared of what July and Aug. will bring!

  5. I am not a huge fan of hamburgers but I am a fan of feta.... I may have to try this so my chicken doesn't get lonely in the freezer. :)

  6. You're not sure it's summer yet...in IDAHO?! Man, there's no hope for Alberta...lol. We've been BBQing since March. Just cause we do that. My BBQ even has a gas burner on the side so I'll cook anything that could be on the stove outside. Burgers go through all sorts of iterations, looking forward to trying this one!
