We purchased a refurbished vita-mix off of their website. Their warranty and customer service have been excellent! I made a very dumb mistake with our blender which resulted in me breaking the entire thing. They paid for shipping both ways, repaired the motor and replaced the pitcher with a new one. And yes, I was honest and told them how I broke it! We were pleasantly surprised with their level of service! We make smoothies almost every day. We just pick a "green" (spinach, romaine, collards,or swiss chard), add a banana (frozen) and whatever frozen or fresh fruit we have on hand (strawberries, cherries, peaches, pineapple, mango, blueberries)

2 cups of fruit, a cup plain yogurt, 1/4 cup real maple syrup, 1/2 tsp vanilla and a small handful of spinach. The kids really like this one.

Spinach is by far the easiest green to hide in a smoothie for kids. Good luck with your smoothies! They are a family favorite here!! I also make pancake mix, zucchini brownies, fresh salsa. 7 year warranty. Fun colors (that is a selling point for me...) I live in Utah so I love to support local too...
