Maybe I can come up with some special jobs that they can get paid for to earn an allowance. I'm definitely doing the jars. Mine may not be as pretty as yours but hopefully still functional. LOL. Thanks for sharing.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5802790462395863282.post-14363977496590092312010-10-23T09:02:37.679-06:002010-10-23T09:02:37.679-06:00I love this idea! I think your ideas about allowances are great. When we were little my folks gave us an amount of pocket money - but they also exercised a little discretion where we did additional chores that weren't already allocated to us (things like sweeping leaves without having to be asked.) The idea was to help us learn to manage the money, but also to encourage us to look for ways we could help each other without it being given that we would get something in return. I really love those jars!

Blessings to you all

FeeBeeKayFeeBeeKayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13384911569129839175noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5802790462395863282.post-75532390742242012332008-09-22T19:19:00.000-06:002008-09-22T19:19:00.000-06:00I have seen this idea before but those jars are re...I have seen this idea before but those jars are really cute:-) I just might try that:-)Susiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12099425493742842588noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5802790462395863282.post-39209113294852781652008-09-21T23:19:00.000-06:002008-09-21T23:19:00.000-06:00WOW!!!! this is a super interesting blog! i unders...WOW!!!! this is a super interesting blog! i understand both viewpoints on the issue. chores are chores but managing money is a smart thing. What a great idea.
~AngelAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
