when my now 11 year old was 5 and playing soccer, our entire sideline crowd will yell "JESS - GO THAT WAY!!!" complete with a big overhead swoop with our arms pointing to the opposing goal for my sweet but directionally challenged little soccer player :) I think they just get so excited to *touch* the ball, nothing else matters anymore :)
