Thanks for the recipe. I'm sure it is delicious. I have found that buttermilk always makes things taste good. And here's one of my baking tip -- beat the eggs until they are super creamy and light. You'll love the results.

So now I'm drooling over chocolate cake and I want some and don't have any. Totally not fair! Hubby's birthday is in a little over a week, and he likes chocolate, but not as much as me. I just had the same experience as you with the kids and the dirty and the travelling... my hubby just got back from MEXICO last night. It wasn't his birthday, but he's been travelling for work. In fact, our September was him in Montreal for a week (without us, or more specifically, me!) and then home for one week, then family vacation for a week, then home for ONE DAY then him to Mexico for four days.

I think he should make me this cake. This weekend. :-P

And as my name's Allison, I definately won't tattle. you just might stop posting yummy recipes. :-P
