Holding Hands

I just finished a project that I started eight and a half years ago, right after Stinkerbell was born. We knew The Stink was going to be our last baby, so that knowledge is what prompted me to trace all of our hands. Stinkerbell was a bruiser and I wanted to get her hand traced while she was still little.

On Mother's Day of the same year, Peanut Head gave me the sweetest card ever. It said "Sometimes just holding hands is holding on to everything."

I'm not normally a sappy person, but that just melted my heart and I knew the sentiment had to go with our hand outlines.

I only wish it hadn't taken me eight years to put it all together.

  1. i love it!!!
thanks for sharing.....might have to make one myself...mind you my baby is now nearly 5!
that saying certainly makes your heart melt!!

  2. I love this! So cute.
The fact that it took you 8 years makes it even better!

  3. LOVE,Love, love it!!!!! I will have to do this! Amazing quote and so true.

  4. I love the saying and I love the whole concept of the hands meshed together. Love. It.

  5. That's awesome! I could also see doing a long range one with each kid's hand outline year after year. Very sweet.
