Band-Aid Boxes for Teachers

During the Great Decrapification of the Summer of 2011, I found these nifty little boxes. Oh yeah, I was going to make Band-Aid boxes for the girlies' teachers two years ago! Oopsie.

Sometimes I procrastinate. I might have told you that. It doesn't matter, now I have a newly organized craft space and I can make things. Yippee!

I found some super cute paper in my drawer labeled "School" so I plastered it all over the boxes.

I just used photo tape and tape runner, a lot of it, to adhere the paper. As a final step, I gave it one coat of Mod Podge to protect it from blood.

Whaaaaat? It is a Band-Aid box. Bleeding students will be opening it, otherwise why get in it, right? I have one in my own classroom, and I tell my students to help themselves, just be careful to not get blood on my cute box.

They think I'm crazy.

Did you know you can get Band-Aids at the Dollar Store? They're just a dollar.

I like these because they are pretty school looking colors. And they go well with blood.

I think I'll buy some Bactine to put in the boxes, and the girlies can give them to their teachers on the first day of school.

I need to attach a ginormous candy bar for Stinkerbell's teacher with a note that says "For the Pain and Suffering My Child Might Cause You This Year. So Sorry. Band-Aid?"

I'm an evil teacher. I would hope that someone would get cut, just so I could break out THAT CUTE BOX! :)

Haha, Jill! So you're going to get their teachers all nervous on the first day of school then? I love these boxes ~ I pass them all the time when I'm at Michaels and always think they could be used for something great. I'll have to revisit these and come up with an idea. Maybe for my nephews for Christmas. I saw a cute little band aid holder made out of an Altoid tin {pocketbook size} on Free Pretty Things For You blog. I just need to get to it!

These are so stinking cute! I have made a couple myself, in my scrap-booking hey day, but these are so cute and functional! I might just have to make a couple for the teachers in my life!

These are adorable! As always you come up with the B-E-S-T projects. I'm so excited for your reorganized space.. nothing like being a school teacher to have the summer time to reorganize/refresh/renew!

Girl, you never fail to make me laugh!

What a cute idea! We don't have a school nurse at our small school so this would be so great to have in the classrooms.

These are adorable, so cute that the kids will spend all day decorating themselves with bandaids instead of doing their math : ) I would love this for my classroom!
Love your blog- please check mine out!

These are so cute! Too bad the Lego King will be in 6th grade WITH ME!! So all of his teachers KNOW ME! I'd have to include more than a bandaid box & chocolate... Maybe a little wine... Maybe A LOT of wine & cheese too...

That is so great! I wish I knew how to do the whole paper thing. I might still give it a try since it's so cute.

I found this awesome, not sure if it was the nurse in me, or the mom in me, but both found it hilarious and magnificent! Mod Podge to protect from blood. Perfect. I think it is a fab gift.

What a great idea! No one ever thinks of a teacher needing those..I mean with the school nurse and everything but that way the kid doesn't have to go out! I like the idea....

This is a cute idea.I find lunch boxes still in good shape at Thrift shops. I thought I'ld try this idea out. But my kids don't go to school. I homeschool them. Do you think teachers at my husband's school would take one as a gift if I made one? What do you think teachers out there?

@Kellkat, Your e-mail address isn't attached to your Blogger account, so I couldn't respond to you directly. I absolutely think that the teachers at your school would appreciate Band-Aid boxes. If you are using full-size lunch boxes, you could take it a step farther and make First Aid kits. How cute would that be?
